Foreign Economic Relations Department

The Foreign Economic Relations Department is committed to consideration and implementation of various aspects that promote cooperation between the capital of Bashkortostan Republic and municipalities of Russian regions, CIS countries and foreign partners as well as development of foreign economic relations of Ufa City. The employees of the Department receive, analyze and prepare contact information on city’s companies, enterprises and potential partners and organize meetings and visits necessary for development of business relations.

The employees of the Department maintain working contacts with counterparts from municipalities of Ufa’s twin and partner cities (Ankara, Halle (Saale), Shenyang, Ekaterinburg, Orenburg, Kazan, Chelyabinsk) on a regular basis and supervise participation of Ufa City Municipal District Administration officials in events and conferences organized by the International Assembly of Capital and Large Cities (MAG).

The Foreign Economic Relations Department supports large-scale foreign investors and partners of Ufa City. It has made a considerable contribution to the successful implementation of such projects as: 

Cooperation with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation on construction of a compact settlement of forced migrants and refugees in Ufa, reconstruction of the city children's clinical hospital and construction of a health and fitness center (projects completed); 

Construction of a METRO Cash & Carry hypermarket (Germany) – project completed;  

 Construction of a MEGA family shopping center owned and operated by IKEA (project underway);  

 Construction of a Castorama hypermarket as a tenant of the first stage of Business-Park Ufa (project underway);  

 Construction of a grade A logistics complex by Raven Russia (project underway).
