Description: Bashkir R&D Centre for Beekeeping and Apitherapy is the leading entity of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the field of beekeeping and apitherapy.

The principal areas of the R&D Center's business include:
• Breeding activities involving the Bashkir breed of honeybees
• Developing and producing new nutritives, perfume and cosmetic preparations based on beekeeping products and medicinal herbs
• Selling natural Bashkir honey and breeding material (packaged bees and purebred queens of the Bashkir breed of honeybees)

The Institution has been issued with a Patent on the "Bashkir Honey" trademark, a Patent on the breeding accomplishment "Bashkir Breed of Honeybees", and a Certificate "Ecologically Safe Product".

The Institution ships ecologically safe Bashkir honey, medicinal, preventive, and cosmetic preparations based on beekeeping products to 35 regions of Russia. Deliveries to the USA started in 2005, and those to Japan and France – in 2008. The R&D Center started to sell honey bees of the Bashkir variety to Mongolia in 2008.
