Salavat Yulaev ice hockey team celebrates a difficult victory over Magnitogorsk Metallurg in the first semi-finals of Hockey Champions League

The first semi-final match of European Ice Hockey Champions League took place yesterday in Magnitogorsk, with Salavat Yulaev team from Ufa beating local Metallurg with 2:1 score. This gives Salavat Yulaev more chances to enter the finals prior to the return game which will take place in Ufa in the beginning of Year 2009.
