A railway station worth to be proud of

Yesterday, the first stage of Ufa railway station was inaugurated at the presence of Mr. Grigory Rapota, Plenipotentiary Representative of President of the Russian Federation in Volga Federal District and Mr. Murtaza Rakhimov, President of Bashkortostan Republic, accompanied by numerous high-ranking officials.
It is truly a very significant event for our region. Russian Railways JSC and the budget of Bashkortostan have jointly invested almost 3 billion rubles into construction and reconstruction works, including the passenger hall on the second floor of the main building, the concourse, central building, dome, public transportation stop direct access gallery, travolator and escalators.
Commuter trains hall, turnpike and ticket offices are now located in the track-overhead passage. Roofed galleries with transparent walls and ceilings allow the passengers to easily reach the platforms for the necessary trains. With all these introductions, the total capacity of the railway station building has increased three-fold: from 2 to 6 thousand people.
