Dear Ufa citizens and guests of the city! Happy New Year!

It has become a tradition to summarize what has been done in the year that passed and plan for the oncoming year. For most of us New Year is a family holiday. The passed year was a Family year in our country and the Year of social family support in Bashkortostan Republic. Mothers and child welfare, improving the living standards of young families and families with children, honouring of large families is a short list of issues that were of great importance this year. The surplus of births over deaths in Ufa is an eloquent rate of successful support of motherhood and childhood. According to this rate Ufa city ranks first among other cities with a million people population.
The citizens of the capital of Bashkortostan Republic have made their best for the benefit of their hometown and the Republic. Together we have managed to achieve great results such as the rates of economical development of Ufa city in 2008 maintain positive dynamics compared to the year 2007. There was active housing construction like in previous years. Special attention was given to construction and reconstruction of social objects, new manufactures have been opened. A lot has been done to improve streets, buildings, parks, squares and the whole appearance of our city.
The oncoming year is planned to lead in our republic under the motto of supporting and developing young people’s initiatives. We are sure that in the future all what is necessary will be done, so that young Ufa citizens have everything for their self-realization.
Dear Ufa citizens! Summarizing the results of the year 2008, we are grateful for your love for our hometown, for your active living act, for your feasible contribution in the development of your native region.
Let the year 2009 become the year when our problems are solved, our blue dreams are fulfilled! Let it be a successful year for all of you and your friends and relatives!
