Joint and Hip Replacement Hospital To Be Built In Bashkortostan Republic

A joint and hip replacement hospital is planned to be built in Bashkortostan Republic. It will be the only such hospital in Eastern Europe. The American company “Joint Replacement Hospitals of America Inc.” initiated this plan in the framework of their investment programme. It was mentioned during the negotiations with the leadership of the Republic, that approximately 2000 patients need joint and hip replacement at the moment.
Minister of health Andrey Evsyukov said that representatives of the company planned to visit Ufa in March and established the location for the construction of the hospital.
The capital of Bashkortostan Republic has been chosen for the construction of this hospital, because it is considered to be the leader in introducing new technologies in healthcare. Bashkortostan Republic was one of the subjects of our country last year, which entered into the federal programme on improving medical aid to patients with vascular diseases. The federal budget allotted 241 mln roubles, and the Republic allotted 120 mln roubles for equipping the Regional vascular center and primary vascular departments.
