The official delegation of Bashkortostan Republic paid a short-term visit to Germany on January 23, 2009. The delegation included Deputy Prime-Minister, Minister of industry, investment and innovation politics Yuriy Pustovgarov and Minister of construction, architecture and transport Ravil Ibatullin.
Within the framework of the visit, the delegation examined Kronoply OSB Products and Magnum Board in Heilegengrabe. The first enterprise processes approximately 3 bln. cubic meters of timber per year manufacturing high-quality OSB panels, MDF, laminated flooring, formwork and Kronotex insulation materials. The coefficient of wood utilization at the enterprise is 100 per cent.
Magnum Board is located in the same facility as Kronoply OSB Products. They use OSB panels for construction of residential buildings. This production process is fully mechanized and automated from receiving orders up to the actual manufacture of houses. After the manufacture of elements of a house with robot-aided equipment, the assembly of a two-storey building with a floor space of up to 200 square meters is performed within one day.
The negotiations with heads of the German companies resulted in the agreement that Bashkortostan will prepare proposals on organization of the corresponding production facilities in the republic in the near future.
