New Carl Zeiss Measuring Machine Installed at UMPO

A new Contura G2 measuring machine manufactured by the well-known German producer Carl Zeiss has started operating at Ufa Engine Industrial Association OAO (UMPO). From now on Ufa engineers will be able to measure details with Zeiss accuracy.
Recently, the workers of the UMPO central measuring laboratory have completed training aimed at helping them to operate a Contura G2 machine. The training was guided by a Carl Zeiss expert from Germany.
Moreover, requirements to the maintenance of the machine are very strict. It is very important to observe particular temperature and humidity. The Contura G2 machine is placed in a separate room on a special substructure made of up-to-date vibration absorbing material as absence of any interference is of great significance.
The purchased equipment will allow us to increase the number of controlled parameters and improve the quality of goods we manufacture, Zufar Zairullin, Deputy Head Metrologist, was quoted as saying.
