Chamber of Commerce and Industry sums up the results

On Wednesday the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Bashkortostan Republic summarized the result of work in 2008.
- In spite of all the economic difficulties, organizations and companies – members of the chamber of commerce and trade that work in the real economy, finished the year with good figures – noticed the chairman of the CCI Sergey Yefremov. – Those companies that export goods continue their work and give example to other companies of finding alternative ways of mastering and expanding the output of competitive products.
The chamber provided more than 33 thousand different services to companies and individual entrepreneurs. There were seven visiting events, held in cooperation with ministries and authorities, in which more than 50 companies took part. There were nine business circles from abroad and regions of Russia.
Apart from that, 27 seminars and scientific-and-practical conferences were conducted, including those conduced abroad. 669 top executives and specialists from various sectors of economy participated in them.
This year there will be a lot work connected with the 8th Congress of Oil and Gas Industry in Russia and 15th International Exhibition “Gas. Oil. Technologies -2009”, Nanotechnology Congress.
The CCI expects profit amounted to 5.5 mln. roubles as a result of activity in 2008. Most part of it will be spent for development: expansion of the capital funds by purchasing real estate objects. At the same time the economic crisis forces CCI to save funds and reconsider expenditure items.
