Ufa Sewage Waters to be Treated by Newest Technology

The construction of the sewage water mechanical dehumidification and sludge drying complex is to be completed in Ufa soon. This project is of a high importance due to the fact that every day the capital of Bashkortostan with the population exceeding one million people produces almost two thousand cubic meters of such sludge, while dry content in it constitutes mere four per cent!

The essence of the technology applied for the first time in communal services of Russia is the low-temperature drying. The sludge treatment process includes mechanical dehumidification in three centrifugal separators and drying with air heated to 120 degree Celsius on two band driers produced by Pro-Dry company from Germany. The technology introduced has numerous advantages, among them the lower cost of installation as compared to other drying units. The European standards of the project implementation bring our city to the modern level of sewage water sludge treatment.
