Team of Ufa City Municipal District Administration Becomes Winner of VIII International Chess Competition among Parliaments, Governments,Regional Administrations and Mayor’s Offices of Russia

On 21-24th of May, 2009 the city of Sochi welcomed participants of the VIII International Chess Competition among parliaments, governments, regional administrations and mayor’s offices of Russia and XIII football cup among governments of the CIS countries, administrations and mayor's offices of Russian cities and towns.
Nineteen teams participated in the competitions. As for the team of Ufa City Municipal District Administration, it took part in such competitions for the fifth time. In 2005 it came fourth, in 2006 - third, in 2007 - second and in 2008 it came third.
It is in 2009 when the team has become the winners of the competition without realizing its victory till the last round.
The second prize went to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the third prize went to the Federation of Independent Labour Unions of Russia.
