On Wednesday, Head of Ufa city municipal district administration Mr. Pavel Kachkaev held a meeting with IKEA representatives who came to discuss several important issues related to the construction of MEGA Ufa family shopping center.
The IKEA delegation included Mr. Mathew Guildford - Project director UFA, Mr. Aleksandar Garvic - Commercial Project Manager, Mr. Alexey Tyan - Landbank Manager, Mr. Arsen Ayupov - Senior Lawyer, Mr. Sergey Kautov - Document Control Manager / Zakhazhik, and Miss Natalia Rychkova - Assistant / Translator.
Ufa Municipality was represented at the meeting by Mr. Kachkaev, Mr. Irek Yalalov - first deputy Head of Administration (in charge of communal infrastructure), Mr. Rashit Sattarov - first deputy Head of Administration (in charge of construction and architecture), Mr. Vladimir Chernov - head of Communal services department, Mr. Ramzit Maskoulov - head of Architecture department, Mr. Anwar Makhmoutov - assistant to the Head of Administration (in charge of foreign relations), Mr. Ruslan Mirsayapov - head of Foreign economic relations department.
The agenda of the meeting included the discussion of future road planning for MEGA Ufa, utilities infrastructure network development, and measures related to prevention of potential flooding of the area. Most of the outstanding issues were cleared immediately at the meeting, some questions left will be tackled cooperatively by Ufa Municipality and IKEA teams in the immediate future.
MEGA Ufa, consisting of IKEA, Auchan, Leroy Merlin hypermarkets, retail outlets, food court and a skating rink, is planned for opening in the middle of 2010.
