Motorcycle Ice Racing Europe Championship to be held in Ufa

The Motorcycle Ice Racing Europe Championship to be held in Ufa on January 23-24, 2010 at “Stroitel” stadium. The European Motorcycle Uni on suggested organizing this championship in the capital of Bashkortostan Republic. This fact is connected with substantial contribution into the motorcycle ice racing development by Bashkortostan and Sport Club named after G.Kadyrov, celebrating its 10th anniversary next year.
All preparations for this championship are arranged by the Ministry of youth policy, sport and tourism of Bashkortostan Republic, Sport Club named after G.Kadyrov and Sport Department of Bashkortostan Republic.

The Motorcycle Ice Racing Europe Championship will be held for the 14th time. It was first organized in 1964 under the guidance of the International Motorcycle Federation, and was reorganized into World Championship after 2 years. The World Championship will be held for the 45th time in 2010. After the European Uni on was created there were established various sport organizations, in particular the European Motorcycle Union. It gave new birth to the Motorcycle Ice Racing Europe Championship in 1999.

There will be sportsmen from 13 countries (Austria, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden) participating in the 14th European Championship.
After the Russian Cup on 9-10 January, 2010, four Russian sportsmen will be selected to participate in Europe Championship.
