Dance ensemble “Miras” presents its new programme

The folk dance ensemble “Miras” is presenting its new programme today at Ufa City Culture Center.

The ensemble manager, Valeriy Stepanov, says that it is not just an ordinary concert, but a real performance, consisting of a variety of vocally-choreographic compositions.

One of the new events to be performed by “Miras” dancers is a “Turkish dance”. It was organized with the help of a specially invited ballet-mistress from Turkey, Nursach Doganishik. Apart from that, the vocally-instrumental group of the ensemble is to sing Turkish and Mari folk songs for the first time.

The folk dance ensemble “Miras” was established in October 1992 by the decision of the presidium of Ufa City Council members. The ensemble was reorganized into municipal enterprise of folk dance ensemble “Miras” in 2006. It was then, when the vocally-instrumental group was organized as part of the ensemble.

The ensemble has repeatedly become a laureate and Grand prize owner of different international festivals and competitions since the year of its establishment. The folk dance ensemble “Miras” is known and loved not only by the audience of Bashkortostan Republic and Russia, but many foreign countries, including Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Hungary, Laos and Vietnam.
