Mari El Delegation Visits Ufa

Ufa City Municipal District Administration has welcomed the delegation of the State Assembly of Mari El Republic (Volga federal district) on April 2nd. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Assembly (Kurultai) of the Republic of Bashkortostan R.N. Zinnurov, Deputy Heads of Ufa City Municipal District Administration A.S. Yusupova, M.M. Galiullin and A.M. Bakieva, Secretary of Ufa City Municipal District Council M. V. Larina. The Mari El delegation was led by Olga N. Tsvetkova, Deputy Chairman of the State Assembly of Mari El Republic, Chairman of Social Development Committee of the State Assembly of Mari El Republic.

Upon greeting the guests A.S. Yusupova gave a brief summary of current social and economic situation in the capital of Bashkortostan, emphasizing the successful endeavors of Administration in overcoming the consequences of the global financial crisis. The members of the Mari El delegation gave special attention to Ufa’s municipal housing program and public health system, the latter having seen a number of important innovations over the past years.

In the context of presentations made by M.M. Galiullin and A.M. Bakieva, the parties exchanged experience in dealing with common social and economic problems.
In conclusion O.N. Tsvetkova thanked Ufa City Municipal District Administration for a warm welcome and expressed her hope for further exchange of experience between the two regions.
